the awesomest thing just happened!!!

okay so i have had this killers-somebody told me song in my head all morning. IT IS AWESOME.
and i wanted to listen to it, so i clicked on the link in the email you sent me for their website. got all excited listening to it on their website but noticed it's just a clip. i told my neighbor about the song, she loves it too. i said it's been stuck in my head and i love it there!
so i wanted to listen to it more and over and over.
so i've been blasting it on repeat and tapping my foot while i work. totally wanting to dance to it! the hardest part is not singing aloud! i want to sing aloud so badly! but i've had to make sure that i keep my mouth closed or slightly open so i am aware of what it's doing and don't start belting it out aloud at work! having my headphones on, i don't know if i'm making noise, cuz i sure feeling noisy, so i even paused it once to make sure my foot tapping wasn't too loud.
i have been having to be careful on the train, too, because i tend to have wandering eyes on the train and i read other people's newspapers, just the headlines, but you know when you read something, you kinda hear your own voice in your head saying the words? well, i hear my own voice reading the headlines of other people's newspapers, and so i get nervous listening to my headphones because i'm afraid that maybe i will accidentally read the headline aloud and then the person will know i'm reading over their shoulder or that i'm weird. when i don't have headphones on, i can hear that i'm quiet. but with the headphones on, i don't know if i'm making noise the other person can hear. so i have to be very conscious of whether the words are in my head or on my lips.
okay so hanyway, so it's a great song, right. so. jane and i are going to lunch but she eats late and i started getting hungry so i decided to have a banana i brought to work. i am so glad we went grocery shopping. oh yeah and i brought my lunch too. jane and i are just eating together. not buying anything. well, i'm not. she is. she's getting a sandwich from au bon pain. i told her their chicken tarragon is the bomb.
so i started eating my banana and decided i deserved a little break from my computer, so i turned in my chair to face the window and look out the window as i listened to "somebody told me" and ate my banana.
and a whole bunch of kids were outside. like tons of then! all lined up against a wall across from a school bus. and they were all moving around a lot in their spots. some of them were jumping up and down to try to see into the windows of the office building they were lined up next to, and so i watched them, and they were all wiggly. very wiggly. and my eyes fixed on this girl who was DOING MY DANCE!!!! well, almost, she was jumping and twisting and squiggling around throwing her arms around and twisting, and i felt so happy, felt like "go go go!" she was going right to the music. she was totally on beat to my song!! and my view widened and i noticed again that they were all moving and twitching and wiggling, and it was THE BEST! the best to listen to that song so loud and see these kids outside my window dancing to it in the street! all wearing brightly colored clothes and wiggling!
it was awesome!
you know how when you listen to music, it seems that certain things around you are following the beat of the music? it's like everything has a rhythm, but without the music we can't see the rhythm.
anyway. it was awesome.
:))
great song, man, really great song. thanks for having me hear it!
